LEARNClub Framboise and Vitrine technologie-éducation (VTÉ) held a third learnshop looking at the mighty power of a mini computer, the Raspberry Pi. Both a computer and a micro-controller, we focused on two distinct strains; inside the box (using the programs within the computer) and outside the box (looking at how to attach the outside world to the RPi).  We focused on projects involving Scratch, Sonic Pi, and Python. And hooked up and played with motion sensors, temperature sensors and LEDs. I must say we were all very exhausted at the end of the day, but we all felt we had achieved success. Our next RPi day is on February 23rd.

Very impressed of the format of the meeting: warm welcome, a bunch of online resources, open minded and knowledgeable participants from various backgrounds, short and sweet demonstrations, cool electronic components to play with, free pizza… Amazing! I strongly recommend to anybody interested in education to get in touch with LearnQuebec!
