LEARN joined Edgewater Elementary grades 3 and 4 for their Inventions Unit… Over two days the students explored differences between simple machines and complex machines. We also explored cranky contraptions, with a particular focus on wheel and axle… The students were engaged from the minute we started, and they did a fantastic job making their prototypes.

We had a great time learning with Chris, Sylwia and Michael. We learned how to carefully use a hot glue gun, how to use our creativity to get us out of difficult situations and that there are no right answers and no wrong mistakes. If something does not work we try again using a different strategy. We were proud of our growth mindset!
