In 1980 it was high time Quebecois began to act out what it meant to be “masters in our own house”.  The Quiet Revolution had already brought about many changes, in society and in the way Quebec managed and controlled their own territory and its resources.  But at the same time, Quebec was opening up to the world, with new forms of communication and transportation.  “Chez nous” evolved to have a whole new meaning, and that idea, of our role in Canada and the world,  has continually changed up until the present day.
