ESSB tells its Digital Citizenship story at Connect Education Conference in Niagara Falls.
Eastern Shores School Board was well represented at the annual ConnectEd Conference in Niagara Falls.
We had the opportunity to present our Digital Citizenship Initiative, exchange resources and learn with educators from across North America.
There was so much to learn and digest. If you are an educator or simply have a passion for learning, we highly recommend that you attend next year. If you missed this year, you can view some presentations on the Connect Education Conference Youtube channel
- Demographic and geographic realities,
- Work with various stakeholders
- Digital Citizenship Passport Concept
- Lessons, Activities and related DC Badges
- Challenges and Successes.

As usual, student voice had the biggest impact when demonstrating our learning. Have a look at our expert talking about her experience with digital citizenship.
There were so many great messages and learning nuggets obtained at the Connect Education Conference.
One comment particularly struck a chord. It was a message from Keynote Speaker Eric Sheninger (a new trend in educational leadership, Eric is a Principal and…best-selling author!)
The message is, “Tell your Story!”
As a comprehensive ‘take-away’ for our attendees at the conference, we provided a bookmark containing links to all of our digital citizenship resources. Here it is for you to enjoy and share with your learning communities.
